These 10 - days retreats aim to introduce students in the Art of Traditional Thai Yoga Massage and to provide them with the necessary knowledge and tools, that will enable them to give a relaxing full body massage. It includes daily 6 hours of massage lessons, an introduction in Vipassana Buddhist meditation to develop mindfulness and loving kindness and a warm-up class of Yoga or Qi Gong with Thai Chi to strengthen and protect the body.
Thai Yoga Massage is a unique and powerful ancient healing art, that has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine for thousands of years. In a unique way Thai Yoga Massage incorporates elements of Yoga, Ayurveda, Acupressure and Meditation. It has its roots in the Indian systems of Yoga and Ayurveda. It is believed that it had been brought along with Buddhist teachings from India to Thailand around 2500 years ago. Since then it has been practiced, developed and handed down through generations, until recently mostly in Thai Buddhist temples. It was never seen just as a mere massage therapy but also as a spiritual practice for the monks allowing them to apply mindfulness and loving kindness in a practical way. The benefits of Thai Yoga Massage are countless. By releasing restrictions and harmonizing the vital energy in the body, Thai Massage can improve posture, breathing, flexibility, digestion and circulation. Muscles are stretched, inner organs toned and emotional and nervous tensions are reduced.
Thai Yoga Massage suits everybody having an open interest in learning more about the body and the mind and giving a gentle massage, without necessarily having any previous experience or any specific knowledge about other bodywork technics. And of course for people who wish to repeat the course, Acro-Yoga students, Yoga teachers, Yogis, Massage therapists, Martial Artists.
Retreat fees are 850 Euro, which includes accommodation in tents on our camping retreat site, three vegetarian meals a day, instruction manual for the course, certificate of attendance of the Sunshine Network. Registrations close two weeks before course start.

14th - 19th February 2013 - The Thai Yoga Massage Caravan
was going Southern Thailand. The workshop was basically about revising the beginners course as thought by the Sunshine network, with a few new more dynamic technics added.
All together we were 6 people traveling south by train to a small village in the highest mountain range there and stayed in an organic orchard surrounded by lush forests and waterfalls.
